Recommendations on wine please?
Can someone with knowledge recommend good wine.
I prefer whites, preferably a dry white, or rose if no white is around. I hate red at this stage of my life.
I’ve not really got a taste for french wine although its meant to be the best but all my experiences ahve been from the supermarket so any suggestions for something special?
Oh and can a wine thats a year or less old be any good really?
As above, try a Sauvignon Blanc or Pinot Grigio, also have you tried a Gewurztraminer. Most whites are dry, what you ant is one will a fruit character. White wine can be great at less than a year old, any white that has not been barrel aged can be excellent at 4 to 6 months of age.
Fermentation is completed before the wine is put into bottles, if the fermentation continues after the wine is in the bottle, bubbles will form and you will get a sparkling wine. This is a defect unless the wine is actually a sparkling wine such as Champagne.
