Why is drinking so popular?
I’ve always loathed the idea of ever getting drunk, and find it foolish to define as one of the aspects of reaching adulthood having had one’s first alcoholic drink.
Unless the supposed health benefits of some drinks, such as red wine, cannot be found elsewhere, why the desire to ever drink these beverages?
Is man so in need of escape and pleasure that he cannot be dissuaded by the dangers his pursuit entails?
I’m not for banning it, I just don’t understand why people canno rationalize away from it, given the ample evidence of how destructive it is.
How many of us can maintain moderate consumption, and is it smart to try?
Franly, I think I should have the right to beat you into a bloody mess if you get drunk and cause harm to me or someone I care about.
I know many of you will be offended by this, and that’s your right.
I just don’t understand the idolization.
It’s socially acceptable, an escape, and you have every right to defend yourself. It’s as old as history. Why do folks undertake any destructive behavior? No offense taken.
