How can I remove a dark patch from my carpet?
I spilled some red wine on a cream carpet the other day and attempted to remove it with “ozkleen carpet power”. The stain is no longer there, but where the carpet was wet there is now a slightly darker patch. Is this left over wine which hasn’t been removed or is it a reaction to the cleaning product?
it’s probably left over from the wine, there isnt anything in carpet cleaning products (which are just powerful soaps) to stain the carpet.
make sure that when you do clean the stain, you remove all the residue, put a old clean towel on it, and push it into the pile of the carpet untill it’s dry. (you can also walk on the wet part with the towel on, which is more effective)
