Will I gain weight from what I ate and drank yesterday?
I’m trying to lose 10-15 pounds and have been sticking to 1200 calories a day for 2 weeks now, only ever going over by 100 or so calories, so always under 1500. I exercise at least twice a week.
Yesterday I had to go to a party and I like to have a few drinks, so I tried to make sure I didn’t eat too much and only drank within my calorie limit but do you think I had too much:
1 cup of kashi go lean cereal with skim milk
small pot of strawberry yogurt
apple and a low fat string cheese
half a bottle of vitamin water 10 calorie drink
coffee with skim milk
at the party….2 Mic Ultra low carb/calorie beers, 2 small glasses of white zinfandel wine and a gin and tonic.
When I got home I ate 2 protein bars.
The alcohol did you in for the day. The beers are around 60-90 calories, considering they’re light and not regular. The wine averages at least 100 calories per glass, and the gin is 100 calories per ounce and a half or so. You probably had between 400-500 calories just in alcohol. Thankfully you avoided margaritas, they average 600-900 calories each!!!
And you won;t gain weight if you burned more than you consumed.
